Don’t jump to conclusions

God did you just say I jump to conclusions, and it doesn’t help me?

You tell me, do you think that’s true?

Well, I can’t deny it. But was that really you who just said that – that’s what I’m asking. Just because I can see it’s true, doesn’t mean you said it.

No, true, but yes, I said it.

And I’m not jumping to conclusions thinking that’s you I can hear?

No, you’re not.

Ok, then, what’s the other side of the coin? What would happen if I didn’t jump to conclusions?

No, you go first, what do you think?

Well… I’m not sure why, or if I’m right, but I think I’d be more relaxed?

Infinitely more relaxed and that’s so important right now.

Why? Is my health at risk, is tension a health risk for me?

It’s a health risk for everyone but no, you’re not in any immediate danger in that regard, your constitution is strong. But it’s a mental risk too.

You mean I might go a wee bit crazy?

No. You’re safe there too. But when you’re tense your mind cannot help you achieve your full potential. You can’t achieve what you want – not in your businesses, nor your books. There’s no way you can achieve your potential unless you’re completely relaxed.

Completely relaxed? Good grief, I don’t even know what that means…

Exactly my point.

Ok, but back to what this is about.

That is what this is about.

What, being relaxed? You said it was about me jumping to conclusions?

It is. When you jump to conclusions, you can’t relax. So don’t do it! Don’t keep imagining the worst conclusion. It makes it harder for me and the universe to engineer the best for you, and even worse, it makes it harder for you to think clear, strong thoughts, the sort of thoughts that will see your businesses grow and your books help more people.

You want to solve problems, you’ve made that clear, so stop creating more problems by jumping to conclusions. The world has enough problems without you imagining up more. Give your mind to the task of solving the problems that already exist, the ones you are well equipped to solve instead of using it to imagine more problems into being.

Your mind is a powerful tool, use it well.
