Bye Bye Love…
I was riding through Arthurs Pass today, snow on the trees and right to the edge of the road – mountains towering above as I rode…
Beautiful.
Agree! I was listening to Simon and Garfunkel in concert as I rode – I had them playing in my helmet.
Particularly gifted musicians.
That’s what I reckon too, God! I had thundered the Indian down a beautiful long straight, across a big wide river, and was leaned hard over into a turn when they started into their song, ‘Bye Bye Love’.
Wonderful moment.
It was! It really was. So exhilarating! The moment the song started, just the first few bars, and the audience had already broken into deafening applause.
People need that, moments of pure joy, something to be glad about.
That’s what I’m saying, God, it was fantastic. It lifted my spirits…
It lifts my spirits too.
Well I don’t know about you, but it also made me cross, angry in fact, disgusted! To think how Organised Christianity robbed my whole generation of that joy, lied to us that somehow any music that didn’t come out of the church was evil and we shouldn’t listen to it. We were all so gullible, we burned millions of records.
Get used to it, Organised Religion has always been like that, and while it remains organised it always will – each new generation of Christianity insisting on inventing their own new rules – rules they pretend come from me, yet nothing could be further from the truth.
Why do you allow it them to do it then??
You don’t need me to answer that. They invent rules that rob the people of the simple joys of life – the people discover to their horror that their favourite music, food, drink and art have been deemed evil by ‘leadership’ – but even worse, they get told their old friends are evil too and are urged to cut themselves off from any who don’t share their new beliefs, other than to evangelise, annoy and convert them.
Why am I talking to you about this if you already know?
Of course I know about the lies that people tell others in my name.
Ok, I guess that was a fairly dumb assumption…
Fairly dumb, yes, but understandable. If you read my story it shows just how much I dislike Organised Religion, that what I actually like are the things that normal people like doing, their music, their food and art, and enjoying those things with them.
Read my story carefully and you’ll see that I also liked to take the witches brew of rules dreamed up by Organised Religion and break as many as possible. They killed me for it of course. They killed the prophets for the same reason, and those who came after me too.
